Soludo used the occasion to charge citizens to be more committed to strengthening democracy, pointing out that it remained the best option over dictatorship.

He stated, “June 12 is a day to celebrate the advent of democracy. It is a landmark to our history. We will never take it for granted. The Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for South West Zone, Dr. Lateef Ibirogba, has thrown his full weight behind the candidacy of Princess (Hon.) Olabisi Adebajo, popularly known as ABISCO, as the party’s candidate for the House of Representatives in Alimosho Federal Constituency.

He made this known during a thank-you visit to his office on Friday, 5 June 2026, as part of ABISCO’s ongoing reconciliation efforts aimed at uniting the APC family in Alimosho ahead of the commencement of campaign activities.
