Nollywood actress, Temitope Osoba is dead, reports thegazellenews.com
Thegazellenews.com learnt that the popular actress known for her daring roles in movies has been battling breast cancer for some time.
She had breast cancer surgery two years ago and appeared to have won the battle as she briefly returned to the movie industry after the surgery.
Her passing has however revealed that the illness has relapsed.
Her death was announced on Wednesday, 5 August, 2026, by actor and close associate Alesh Ola Sanni, who disclosed that the actress died on the evening of Tuesday, 4 August, 2026.
Paying tribute to Osoba in an emotional Instagram post, Sanni wrote: “Couldn’t sleep since last night, it’s well. Rest in peace my dearest sister Temitope Osoba. We had amazing time and good memories together, till we meet again. I really dunno what to say mehn, gosh.”
Osoba was known for her roles in several Yoruba-language Nollywood productions and was admired by colleagues and fans for her talent and resilience.
Her passing has sparked an outpouring of tributes from the entertainment industry, with many mourning the loss of the actress.
