Apapa-Iganmu LCDA Boss, Rep Member Inspect Zion PHC

Indication of the possible commissioning of the rehabilitated Zion Primary Health Care Centre, emerged on Wednesday, 25 February, 2026, as Hon. (Dr) Samuel Adesola Adebayo, member representing Apapa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives joined the Chairman of Apapa Iganmu Local Council Development Area, Hon. Jimoh Olawale Saliu to carry out an on-the-spot assessment of the health facility.⁣

⁣

The inspection tour was meant to obtain an accurate first hand information on the level of work done so far at the facility, which serves the medical needs of residents of Zion in Sari Iganmu area of the LCDA and its environ.⁣

⁣

The visit signifies the avowed commitment of the LCDA helmsman to enhancing modern health facility in ensuring the well-being of the residents.⁣

⁣

Accompanied on the visit by the Vice Chairman, Hon. (Mrs) Fadekemi Otitonaiye; the Council Manager, Mr. Lateef Omokayode; the Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon Adigun Arogundade; other Councillors and the Chairperson, Alh Kikelomo Jimoh amongst others, the council boss inspected the entire premises of the one-storey building and made some observations of areas that require some corrections.⁣

⁣

At the ground floor, it was observed that the slope of the entrance should be adjusted and divided to accommodate movement of wheel chair, while the staircase should be provided with railings.⁣

⁣

It was also observed that all the doors should be replaced with modern and befitting ones, while a space be provided for borehole for water provision.

⁣

The team also visited a temporary centre currently in use for maternity by the nurses.⁣

⁣

The people of the community appreciated government effort to uplifting the standard of medical care facility in the environment and all show enthusiastic towards the commissioning of the new facility. ⁣
