Progressive Governors Forum has endorsed Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris’s leadership, citing his ability to provide purposeful, impactful political leadership and unite the political class.

The Forum’s endorsement of the Governor’s leadership qualities was disclosed by the Chairman of the Forum Senator Hope Uzodima at a stakeholders meeting of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Birnin Kebbi.
Senator Hope Uzodima, who is also the Governor of Imo State, praised Governor Idris’s foresight in initiating impactful developmental projects in his determination and commitment to improve the well-being of the people.

He noted that Governor Idris’s ability to unite the political class, including former governors and members of the state and national assemblies, has confirmed the much talked about Governor Idris general acceptability by the people of Kebbi State and must be acknowledged.
The Governor’s initiatives to achieve greater heights in the execution of valuable projects, such as the ultra-modern Secretariat complex, expanded and beautified major streets, and ultra-modern motor park, have impressed the visiting governors.
In a communique earlier read by the Chairman of the Forum, the governors pledged their support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on economic and social transformation.
They also resolved to remain faithful to the vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in sustaining rapid socio-economic development from the sub national level to the local communities.
During the meeting, the Governors visited some landmark projects, including the ultra-modern State Secretariat complex, the expanded, dualized, and beatification of major streets in the state state capital among others.
According to Abdulllahi Idris Zuru, special adviser on communication and strategy the meeting demonstrated solidarity among APC governors and their commitment to sustaining rapid socio-economic development.
The Progressive Governors’ Forum meeting is held quarterly, rotating among APC-controlled states. This meeting in Kebbi State showcased Governor Idris’s achievements and reinforced his leadership.
