The President of the group and Southwest representative in the North Central Development Commission, Engineer (Dr) Atinuke Wuraola Owolabi, disclosed this to thegazellenews.com via an exclusive telephone interview conducted on Thursday, 13 November, 2025.

Speaking on the programme, Dr Owolabi who is also the Vice President, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) of the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (NIEEE), stated that the programme aimed to contribute the group’s quota in promoting the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The President has shown real commitment and desire to improve the economic and socio-political structure of the country. All hands must be on deck to contribute to achieving this aim.

“This is our own way of promoting the Renewed Hope agenda of the President,” she said.
According to her, the ‘Tinubu Cares’ Initiative rests on four major pillars.
“Maami’ is a health programme aimed at providing 3-month post-delivery care for mother and child. Through this, we are promoting maternal and infant health,” she explained.
Youth Empowerment is the second strategic pillar of the group which is aimed at empowering the next generation of leaders.
The third strategic pillar is termed ‘AgroBoost’ through which food security will be promoted via empowerment for farmers, this is aptly described as growing the food for the growth of the futures.
The last strategic pillar is termed ‘PowerUp Communities’. “Through this we intend to provide energy, water, security and other infrastructure.
“Our focus are on women and youths particularly at the grassroots that’s why our motto is Tinubu Cares, Reaching the Unreached,” Dr Owolabi said.
