Arteta, the coach of English Premier League (EPL) \Arsenal ,who was appointed in 2019, has now committed his future to the club until June 2030.
The 44-year-old’s former deal was due to expire next summer.
The Spaniard led Arsenal to their first Premier League title in 22 years last season after three straight second-place finishes.
.He also led the Gunners to only their second Champions League final, which they lost on penalties to Paris Saint-Germain.
During his tenure, Arteta has won an FA Cup and three Community Shields.
“It’s a privilege to commit my future to the club and to continue to work with exceptional people who want the best for Arsenal,” Arteta said in a statement.
“This club is unique, its character and the way it makes you feel, and I have a great sense of privilege that our journey together will continue.”
