The NNPC Engineering and Technical Company (NETCO), a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), has announced a 137 per cent increase in operating profits for the year 2023. This was disclosed by the Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors and Executive Vice President, Downstream, NNPC Limited, Mr. Adedapo Segun, at the Company’s 34th Annual General Meeting held in Lagos, on Friday. A large number of passengers were left stranded on Wednesday, 5 June, 2024, when a Kaduna-bound train from Abuja derailed at Asha station in the federal capital territory (FCT).
