The Institute for Economics and Peace 2023 study has ranked Nigeria 144th in the 2023 Global Peace Index of the most peaceful countries in the world. The study, which measured a country’s level of negative peace using three domains of peacefulness, said Iceland came first as the most peaceful country in the world, Mauritius is ranked first in Africa, followed by Botswana and Sierra Leone. Nigeria ranks 37 out 44 countries in Africa. A new study conducted by reseachers at the University of Toronto, Canada, has confirmed that replacing sugar with honey, particularly the raw one, had a positive effect, especially in bringing blood sugar and cholesterol levels down. The study found that when people are on a healthy diet in which no more than 10 percent of daily calories come from sugar, honey actually provides cardiometabolic protective benefits, including improving glucose response, reducing insulin resistance and promoting the growth of bacteria associated with a healthy gut.
