​The Lagos State Police Command has announced the arrest of two men accused of sexually assaulting their daughters in separate incidents reported in the Surulere and Amukoko areas of the state. The Command’s Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, who made this disclosure during a press briefing on Monday, 12 May, 2025 at the command headquarters in Ikeja, said one of the suspects, a 39-year-old man, was taken into custody for allegedly defiling his two daughters, aged 12 and 14, in the Surulere area. Lagos State Commissioner for Finance, Mr Abayomi Oluyomi, has disclosed that state government recorded a significant boost in its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), recording approximately N1.3 trillion in 2024, a 45% increase from the N895 billion collected in 2023,reports thegazellenews.com.
