Operatives of the Ifo police division in Ogun State have arrested six community leaders and hunters for allegedly attacking and killing herds of cattle belonging to a herder identified as Usman Abubakar. The suspects are Taiwo Obasa, Gbolahan Abdullahi, Ojo Musiliu, Okwu Odey, Zomisin Lulu, and Abiodun Shoyoye. The suspects allegedly attacked the cattle, resulting in four cows being killed, butchered, and distributed among themselves, while two cows were injured and four others went missing. The new Automated Teller Machine (ATM) charges imposed on Nigerians by the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, came into effect on Saturday, 1 March, 2025. This follows the Apex Bank’s announcement on 11 February 2025 that, from 1 March 2025, N100 and N450 fees would apply to ATM withdrawals. The CBN explained that the charges would apply to bank customers using other banks’ ATMs, whether onsite or offsite. The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has been working in the past twenty-five years to meet up with the needs of people living in the oil rich Niger Delta region.
