Plateau United have confirmed the departure of defender, Wisdom Ndon to Libyan club side Olympic Azzawiya, reports thegazellenews.com. Plateau United said the 22-year-old showed professionalism, dedication and commitment throughout his stay in Jos. Following the resignation of Shakiru Giwa as coach of Inter of Lagos, a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, on Tuesday, 13 October, 2026, the club has named Olusanjo Olutayo as the new head coach. The Airport Police Command has arraigned a 47-year-old man, Mark Agbor, over allegations of impersonation and unauthorised access to restricted areas at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMA, Lagos, following a social media post in which he allegedly offered a military combat helicopter for sale. A Kaduna Magistrate Court presided over by Magistrate Ibrahim Emmanuel on Wednesday, 14 October, 2026 sentenced a 32-year-old man, Kenneth James, to 18 months’ imprisonments for stealing jewellery worth N860,000 belonging to his girlfriend. James pleaded guilty to a one-count charge of stealing before Magistrate Emmanuel, who sentenced him to 18 months’ imprisonment, with an option of a N50,000 fine. Finnish newspaper Yle on Thursday, 15 October, 2026 disclosed that a Finnish Appeal Court has reduced the prison sentence of Biafran separatist leader, Simon Ekpa, from six to four years. However, the Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the Päijät-Häme District Court, which found Ekpa guilty of terrorism-related charges last year.
