The Bala Wunti Support Organisation has welcomed the inclusion of Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the January 2027 presidential election.
Bala Wunti was recently appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the World Energy Council Nigeria.
His new appointment is contained in a statement issued by Abubakar Al-sadique, Chief Communications Officer of Bala Wunti Support Organisation which was made available to journalists in Bauchi on Saturday, 22 August, 2026.
The constitution of the APC Presidential Campaign Council marks a significant step towards the commencement of the party’s nationwide campaign, with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu serving as Chairman and Vice President Kashim Shettima as Vice Chairman.
The council will be led by former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, as Director-General, while Governor Hope Uzodimma will serve as Secretary. Other senior party leaders, political stakeholders and professionals have also been appointed to various positions within the campaign structure.
The Bala Wunti Support Organisation described Dr. Bala Maijama’a Wunti’s inclusion in the council as a recognition of his experience, leadership capacity, patriotism and commitment to national development.
The organisation expressed confidence that Dr. Wunti will make valuable contributions to the campaign council and play a constructive role in mobilising support for the APC and President Tinubu across the country.
According to the organisation, Dr. Wunti’s appointment presents another opportunity for him to contribute his expertise and network towards advancing the objectives of the APC Presidential Campaign Council and supporting the party’s efforts to secure victory in the 2027 presidential election.
The organisation also congratulated Dr. Wunti on his appointment and called on his supporters, associates and well-wishers to support him as he takes on the new responsibility.
The Bala Wunti Support Organisation reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening national unity, economic development and good governance, while wishing the entire Presidential Campaign Council success in its assignment.
