The Principal Special Assistant to the Benue State Governor on Youth and Media Mobilization, Hon. Atu Terver Joseph, has suspended his Chief of Staff, John Ukeyima; and Chief Press Secretary, Lubem Terkula; for allegedly protesting against the ongoing killings in the state.
In a suspension letter, Terver accused both aides of acting against government directives, describing their actions as a breach of trust.
The move followed a massive protest in Makurdi on Sunday, 15 June, 2025, where hundreds of youths decried the killings of nearly 250 people in Yelewata, Guma LGA, by suspected herdsmen.
