There was a mild drama at the Lagos State House of Assembly, this morning, Wednesday, 26, 2025, reports thegazellenews.com.
Former Clerk of the Assembly, Olalekan Onafeko stormed the Assembly to effect a court order which reportedly reinstated him.

An industrial court reportedly ordered that the status quo in the Assembly remains until the determination of the suit brought before it by Onafeko.
On Wednesday, 26 February, 2025, Onafeko, alongside with his lawyer, Nurudeen Yusuf, Esq, stormed the Assembly to effect the said court ruling.

However, Onafeko could not effect the ruling. The Assembly legal team and his lawyer argued over that the issue of status quo state mentioned by the court. He later left with his lawyer, thegazellenews.com learnt.
His lawyer, Yusuf however told thegazellenews.com that the court order could not be effected because the present Clerk, ATB Ottun was not on sit and his office was locked.
When asked what happens after that, he told thegazellenews.com that he is still coming back with his client and if Onafeko was not allowed to take over, his client will file a contempt charge against the Assembly and the current Clerk.
