The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr Kadir Obafemi Hamzat has been declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election, reports thegazellenews.com
The primary election was conducted throughout the 20 local government areas in the state.

Hamzat was officially declared the winner of the primary election by the Chairman of the State Assembly and Governorship Primary Elections Committee from the National Headquarters, Major General (rtd) Jonathan Temlong who was also the Returning Officer for the election.
According to Temlong, Hamzat polled a total of 657,917 out of 657,974 accredited votes cast, while his opponent, Lanre Jim-Kamal polled a solitary vote.

Temlong lauded the peaceful conduct of the party members throughout the entire exercise.
