No candidate of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is allowed to travel outside the country until after the general elections, reports thegazellenews.com
The Chairman of the party in the state, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi announced this on Friday, 18 September, 2026 while speaking at the inauguration of the PBAT/KOH Campaign Council in Ikeja.
Ojelabi told candidates to cooperate and support council members, noting that they should always liaise with the council members at all times.
“No candidate is allowed to travel out of the country until after the elections,” Ojelabi said.
The state party Chairman stated that council members should work within their sensorial district and local governments and ensure massive mobilisation for the party candidates.
He stated further that there is limited work at the campaign secretariat, hence the secretariat is not going to be populated by members.
“The secretariat is mainly for few officers and meant for policy formulations and directives,” he said.
