The death toll from coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria has risen to 128, The Gazelle News.com can report.
This was announced by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on its verified twitter handle on Saturday, 9 May, 2020 while giving update on the virus infection in Nigeria.
The Gazelle News.com reports that Kwara is the latest state to record fatality from the virus infection. A Lagos returnee died on Saturday, 9 May, 2020 in Ilorin, the state capital.
The NCDC also reported 239 new cases nationwide on Saturday, 9 May, 2020 bringing the total in Nigeria to 4151 cases.
Of the lot, Lagos has 97 new cases reported, Bauchi has 44, Kano 29, Katsina 19, Borno 17, FCT 7, Kwara 6, Oyo 5, Kaduna and Sokoto 3 each, Adamawa, Kebbi, Plateau and Ogun 2 each, and Ekiti 1.
