As a young boy, Bukola Sofidiya has always watched his father with awe: the late night meetings, the campaigns and the reverence and loyalty to the leaders are qualities his late father inculcated in him, thegazellenews.com reports
And who was his father? Late Chief Akinola Sofidiya, one of the earliest politicians to be elected councillor in Agege. The senior Sofidiya served as elected Councillor for Ward B1A in Agege Local Government between 1979 and 1983.

The senior Sofidiya was a committed progressive throughout his life time and his penchant and knack for ensuring deep understanding of events and proceedings at meeting led to the nickname of ‘Soye’ on him.

Bukola ‘Gidado’ Sofidiya has taken over from his father and his quest to take Agege to the next level is gathering momentum.
