Officials of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) were in Lagos for an inspection visit to assess the proposed venue; Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts (National Theater, Iganmu) for the 2026 CAF Awards, which will be hosted by the Lagos State Government.
The CAF delegation was received by officials of the Lagos State Sports Commission and taken on a comprehensive tour of the venue and other key facilities. The inspection provided an opportunity for the delegation to evaluate the level of preparedness and offer valuable observations to support the successful hosting of Africa’s most prestigious football awards ceremony.

The visit underscores Lagos State’s commitment to delivering a world-class event that reflects excellence in organization, hospitality, and sporting infrastructure. With preparations already in full swing, the Lagos State Government remains focused on ensuring that every aspect of the event meets international standards.
