Nasarawa State is the latest to get the Coronavirus Infection in Nigeria, The Gazelle News.com reports.
The index case in Nasarawa, according to reports, was a young woman who just returned from Kano State and has thus been placed in isolation while contact tracing is on.
Nasarawa is the 33rd state to be infected in Nigeria.
The Gazelle News.com also reports that on Tuesday, 28 April, 2020, 195 new cases were reported in the country.
This was confirmed on the verified twitter handle of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as at 11.50pm on Tuesday.
Out of this number, 80 cases were reported in Lagos, 38 in Kano, 15 in Ogun and Bauchi, 11 in Borno, 10 in Gombe, 9 in Sokoto, 5 in Edo and Jigawa, 2 in Zamfara and 1 each in Rivers, Enugu, Delta, Delta, FCT and Nasarawa.
This medium also reports that the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Nigeria has risen to 1532 with Lagos having more than 60% of this with 844 cases, FCT has 158 cases, Kano’s number has risen to 115, Ogun now has 50 cases and Gombe 46 cases.
