As from Friday, 1 May, 2020, wearing of facemasks in public becomes compulsory in Ogun State, The Gazelle News.com reports.
According to the state Governor, Dapo Abiodun, anybody who defies this order faces a jail term of 14 days in any of the isolation centres in the state and made to perform community service.
Governor Abiodun said this decision was taken as a measure to contain and curtail the spread of coronavirus in the state.
