The Coronavirus pandemic cases in Nigeria continue to grow and Lagos continues to be at the receiving end. The Gazelle News.com reports that early Saturday, 27 March, 2020, 11 new cases were reported by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on its Twitter handle.
The total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria now stands at 81 with 52 in Lagos alone.
In the latest report, eight new cases were reported in Lagos, Enugu made entry with two cases as well as Edo with one case.
The Gazelle News.com reports further that this was the situation report as at 11.55pm on Friday, 27 March, 2020.
Since the pandemic was first reported in Africa’s largest economy, after the index case, an Italian man who flown into the country about a month ago, there have been a total of 81 confirmed cases, including three discharged persons and one death
A breakdown of the cases by states shows Lagos as being the state that has been hit more, with a total of 52 cases reported. Abuja followed next with 14 cases.
Ogun and Oyo have three cases each.
Edo state, Bauchi and Enugu have all reported two cases each while the states of Ekiti, OsuRivers have just one person each to have been tested positive of the virus.
