A case of coronavirus has been discovered in Mushin Local Government Area of Lagos State, The Gazelle News.com reports.
According to a report posted on the Facebook page of Sanusi Rasak, Special Adviser on Media to the Council Chairman, Emmanuel Bamgboye, the victim was a residence of Takuro Street, Idi Araba, Mushin.
“The patient is already receiving treatment at Yaba, Lagos. Immediately the medical team of the local government led by Dr. Wale Akeredolu, MOH, was informed, the patient was transfered to disease/virus control centre at IDH, Yaba.
“The contact persons majorly his family members were quarantined to contain the virus,” the statement said.
Reacting to the issue, the Chairman of the local government, Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye, informed that residents should not panic as the COVID-19 case recorded is now contained.
