The Nigeria Customs Service has released the final list of successful candidates in its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise for appointment to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Customs II, ASC II.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Monday, 27 July, 2026 by the National Public Relations Officer of the Service, Abdullahi Maiwada, who explained that candidates had been advised to visit the official NCS website or check selected national newspapers to confirm their status and obtain information on the next stage of the recruitment process.
Maiwada disclosed that successful candidates would receive further instructions through their registered email addresses or via SMS notifications.
He explained that upon receipt of the notification, candidates would be required to log on to the stipulated website using their National Identification Number or registered email address to upload a valid medical certificate of fitness obtained from a government-recognised hospital.
He stated that the portal link for the upload of the medical certificates would be activated on Wednesday, 29 July, 2026, adding that candidates would be required to complete the upload process within one week of the portal’s activation.
According to him, candidates would also be required to accurately update their current state of residence on the portal and formally accept the provisional offer of appointment by clicking the accept-offer button.
Maiwada noted that successful candidates should await the issuance of their Trainee Identification Number, which would be communicated within one week, stressing that further details regarding documentation and physical screening, including dates, venues and requirements, would be communicated through official channels.
The NCS spokesperson urged all successful candidates to strictly comply with the outlined instructions and complete each stage within the stipulated timelines.
He warned that failure to comply with any of the requirements or timelines could result in disqualification from the recruitment process and forfeiture of the provisional offer of appointment.
Maiwada further disclosed that, on behalf of the Nigeria Customs Service Board, the Comptroller-General of Customs congratulated all successful candidates on their success in the recruitment exercise and looked forward to welcoming them into the Service as they commence a career dedicated to professionalism, integrity and service to the nation.
The NCS had commenced its 2025 recruitment exercise in 2024 to fill 3,927 vacancies across the Superintendent, Inspectorate and Customs Assistant cadres, with the online application window closing in January 2025 through the Service’s dedicated recruitment portal.
In May, the NCS had opened its recruitment portal for shortlisted 2025 candidates to complete a final screening update, setting a deadline of May 10, 2026, for the completion of the exercise.
