The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has scheduled physical screening and documentation for successful candidates enlisted into the Service as part of the next stage of its recruitment exercise.
The exercise will hold at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC), Gwagwalada, Abuja, with candidates required to appear on the dates allocated to their respective states and cadres.
This was disclosed by the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation on X through its official handle, @FMINONigeria, on Tuesday, 1 September, 2026.
According to the NCS, attendance at the screening and documentation exercise is compulsory, and any candidate who fails to appear on the assigned date may be disqualified from the recruitment process.
The Service said shortlisted candidates must present the original and photocopies of their National Identification Number (NIN), original birth certificate or declaration of age, and educational certificates, including O’Level, ND, HND, degree or other applicable qualifications.
Candidates are also required to present a certificate of state of origin, two recent passport photographs, a completed guarantor’s form and an NYSC certificate, where applicable.
For the physical screening, the candidates are expected to wear a white T-shirt, shorts and canvas shoes.
The Customs Service further stated that candidates who successfully complete the physical screening and documentation would receive further instructions on the subsequent stages of the recruitment process.
The Service, under the leadership of Comptroller-General of Customs Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, and his management team, assured candidates and the general public that the recruitment would remain transparent, fair and merit-based.
It also urged candidates to rely solely on official NCS communication channels for authentic information concerning the exercise.
