Three people, including a classroom teacher, were crushed to death by a Dangote Cement truck early Wednesday, 17 December, 2025 in Lagos reports thegazellenews.com
Thegazellenews.com’s correspondent at the scene of the accident reported that the accident took place at Iyana Meiran bus stop on Lagos-Abeokuta expressway in Alimoso Local Government Area of the state.
It involved a Dangote Cement truck, a commercial mini-bus and four commercial tricycle.
Thegazellenews.com learnt that the Dangote truck driver was coming from Sango Otta, headed towards Iyana Ipaja.
“The truck apparently experienced break failure and the driver in struggling to control the vehicle swerved into the corner of Meiran road.
“The truck crushed the commercial mini-bus and the four commercial tricycles waiting to pick passengers at the bus stop, leading to the death of at least three people,” eye witness told thegazellenews.com
One of the victims of the crash was a teacher at the District Senior Secondary School in Meiran.
“The teacher was going to resume work and participate in the school’s end of the year activities. Now the party has been postponed because the school has been thrown into mourning,” one of the teachers told thegazellenews.com
The driver and the motor boy escaped from the scene.
