The Deputy President of the Senate (DSP), Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has expressed deep shock and sadness over the demise of the President and Founder of Trinity Gospel Mission, Ughelli, Bishop Diamond Emuobor.
In a condolence message personally signed by him, Senator Omo-Agege condoled with the Urhobo nation and the Christian community in the state over the death of the renowned cleric.
He described Bishop Emuobor, who chaired bodies like the Elders Council, Urhobo Christian Ministers Association (UCMAI), Delta State Christian Pilgrimage Board and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) (Ughelli North Chapter) as a religious leader who spoke truth to power with his biblical teachings.
“Bishop Emuobor’s passing is a heavy loss to all of us, and his memory will remain evergreen in the hearts of the Urhobo people in particular and Deltans in general. Indeed, we have lost a wise and eminent religious leader who used the pulpit to speak truth to power,” he said.
Senator Omo-Agege extended his heartfelt condolences to the Bishop’s family and friends whilst enjoining Deltans to remember them in their prayers at this very trying moment of losing such an illustrious Deltan.
