Details have emerged of how Olusegun Remi, known in the entertainment industry as Chief Kanran, died have emerged, reports thegazellenews.com
Thegazellenews.com reported on Friday, 15 August, 2025, that Chief Kanran died early same day after a brief illness.
However, according to a post on the Facebook page of popular entertainment promoter and owner of the Best of Nollywood (BON) award, Seun Oloketuyi, the veteran actor allegedly slumped and died in his bathroom.
Thegazellenews.com reports further that Chief Kanran lived at Meiran axis of Alimoso Local Government Area.
“Segun Remi this afternoon slumped in the bathroom and died instantly,” Oloketuyi wrote quoting close family sources.
He was also reported to be battling High Blood Pressure (HBP) which might have contributed to his sudden death as he was reported to be managing his ailment well.
