Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, on Friday, 17 January, 2025, ordered the police and other security agencies to demolish all the houses linked to 16 suspected kidnappers arrested in the state.

Okpebholo said the directive for the demolition of the property was an immediate effect.

The Governor’s directive comes shortly after some kidnappers were arrested in Edo Central district.

The Governor, who urged the police to embark on a continuous raid of all suspected hideouts of kidnappers across the state, said the demolition of every property linked to criminals, especially kidnappers would serve as a deterrent to others.

“Criminals terrorising Edo State will have no place to hide, as security operatives have been empowered to fish them out wherever they are. We have purchased 75 Toyota Hilux vans for the security of our people,” Okpebholo said.
