The Chairman of Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area, Hon. Prince Idris Balogun, has marked his first 100 days in office with achievements that underscore his commitment to quality leadership, community welfare, and sustainable development across the council area.
As part of the celebration, the Chairman distributed 3,000 exercise books, 3,000 school bags, and other essential learning materials to students in public schools.

The gesture, warmly received by parents and educators, is aimed at strengthening the educational foundation of children and ensuring they begin the school year equipped and motivated.
In addition to education support, Prince Balogun also organized a free medical outreach that provided immediate healthcare services to hundreds of residents. The outreach delivered relief, comfort, and essential medical attention, reflecting his administration’s dedication to promoting the well-being of the community.

Hon. Idris Balogun also commissioned several key roads that will ease mobility and improve socioeconomic activities within the LCDA.
Completed and ongoing road projects include: Phidel College Street, Prince Tunde Balogun/Abeokuta Street, Market/Jemi Alade Street, Olisa Street, and Omoboriowo Street (ongoing)
Further demonstrating his commitment to economic empowerment, the Chairman distributed a wide range of tools, equipment, and professional materials to artisans, small business owners, and community service workers.
Items distributed include: iPad Tablets, Nikon Camera with iPad, Unix Sewing Machine with Stand, Clippers and Generators, Liquid Soap Production Materials, Gas Cylinders for Caterers, Air Fryer Oven, Makeup Box, Bench Grinder for Shoemakers and Bag Makers, and Hair-Drying Machine for Hairdressers
To strengthen local governance and enhance operational efficiency, two brand-new buses were also provided for the Office of the Executive Chairman and the Legislative Arm.
Additionally, the LCDA commissioned a fully equipped ambulance for the health centre, along with complete medical equipment to support emergency response and healthcare delivery.
In boosting infrastructure works and community development, the LCDA acquired a Caterpillar machine and an industrial grinder machine to aid road maintenance and other essential projects.
Speaking during the ceremony, Hon. Idris Balogun reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to deliver purposeful, inclusive, and people-oriented governance.
He expressed appreciation to residents for their support and assured them of continued service anchored on transparency, progress, and community empowerment.
