The Senator-elect for Lagos Central Senatorial District, Rt Hon Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni has sympathised with the Lagos State Government, civil servants and victims of the Ikeja train/ accident which occurred on Thursday, 9 March, 2023.
Officially, three civil servants lost their lives in the crash while many others were injured.
Commenting on the sad incident, Eshilokun-Sanni prayed that God accept the souls of the dead and grant their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss; while wishing the injured speedy recovery.
The Deputy Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly urged restraint and patience particularly on the part of drivers.
It should be noted that an accident involving a moving train and a luxury staff bus conveying Civil Servants to the Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa, early in the morning of Thursday, 9 March, 2023, which claimed many lives and injured several persons, all staff of the state government.
Rt. Hon. Eshilokun admonished drivers to always approach railway crossings with utmost caution to avoid incidences like this.
