Exclusive: How Lagos Doctor Contracted Covid-19, Infected His Entire Family, Lost His Life To The Virus

A Lagos doctor and owner of a popular hospital in Bariga area of the state has lost his life to coronavirus, The Gazelle News.com reports.
Investigation by this medium revealed that Dr Olusegun George, owner of the popular Jaiyeola Hospital located at 4, Bankole Street, by Famous Hotel, Famous bus stop, Pedro area of Bariga died on Tuesday, 19 May, 2020 after six week battle with the virus.
The Gazelle News.com exclusively gathered that the medical doctor was infected by an unknown patient who came for medical treatment in his hospital.
“He started having the symptoms of the virus in the first week of April. He started having serious cough. As a medical doctor, he went to the Infectious Disease Hospital where he tested positive for the virus,” a very devastated relative told correspondent on Tuesday.
The Gazelle News.com learnt that the doctor came back, brought all his entire family: five in all and they all tested positive.
“While Doctor George remains at IDH, Yaba because his case was serious, his entire family members were taken to the Onikan Isolation Centre,” our source narrated.
All the family members have recovered from the virus infection and have all been discharged but Dr George could not make it, he died from the virus infection on Tuesday, 19 May, 2020.
The Gazelle News.com further investigation revealed that all the nurses in the hospital have been sent away while the hospital has been closed down for fumigation.
