Festival Package for Lagos LG Workers: Egbe-Idimu, Ifako-Ijaiye, Apapa, Alimoso, Apapa-Iganmu, Ibeju-Lekki, Odiolowo Top; Isolo Flops

Local government workers in Lagos State have been comparing notes on the Christmas and New Year packages by their newly sworn-in Chairmen and there has been praises for some while others received bashing from the workers, reports thegazellenews.com

Workers have been praising the likes of Prince Idris Balogun, Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area; Usman Akanbi Hamzat, Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government; Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, Alimoso Local Government; Jimoh Olawale Saliu, Apapa-Iganmu LCDA; Idowu Adejumoke Senbanjo, Apapa LG; Olusegun Olowa, Ibeju-Lekki LG; and Oluseyi Lawal Jakande, Odiolowo-Ojuwoye LCDA among others.

Thegazellenews.com learnt that Balogun approved N60,000 each and 10kg of rice for all the workers of Egbe-Idimu, irrespective of status for Christmas and New Year package; Usman Hamzat gave each Ifako-Ijaiye worker N40,000, 20kg of rice and 3-litre of vegetable oil; while Akin Johnson approved N40,000 for each Alimoso LG worker, 25kg of rice for senior staff and 12.5kg of rice for junior staff.

In Apapa-Iganmu, Jimoh Olawale Saliu gave each worker N35,000 and 25kg of rice; Idowu Adejumoke Senbanjo gave Apapa LG workers N50,000, 10kg of rice, 3-litre oil and one life chicken each; in Ibeju-Lekki LG, Chairman of Conference 57, Olusegun Olowa gave each worker N50,000 and one chicken each; while in Odiolowo-Ojuwoye LCDA, Oluseyi Lawal Jakande, son of iconic former pioneer Executive Governor of Lagos state, Late Lateef Kayode Jakande, gave each worker N50,000.

There are others who took the welfare of their workers as priority such as: Eredo LCDA, N40,000 for each worker; Iba LCDA, N50,000 for each worker; Lagos Island, N40,000, rice, chicken and vegetable oil for each worker; Surulere, N50,000 for each worker; and Bariga LCDA, N50,000, 10kg of rice and 2kg of cow meat for each worker.

Conversely, the Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area, Bayo’ Olasoju ranked as the lowest council boss in distribution of Christmas and New Year package to workers. Thegazellenews.com learnt that he approved N20,000 each for the workers.

Thegazellenews.com can report that local government workers in Lagos have never had it so good. They are singing the praises of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in not only increasing in multiple folds allocations to local governments across the nation but also insisting that the councils collect their money directly, an order that has been implemented to the letter in Lagos.

11 Ifelodun LCDA N40,000
12 Ikorodu West N20,000 with 10kg of Rice
13 Lekki LCDA N50,000
14 Egbe Idimu N60,000 plus 10kg of rice
15 Ibeju-Lekki LG N50,000 plus chicken
16 Bariga LCDA N50,000 plus 10kg rice & 2kg of cow meat
17 Onigbongbo LCDA N30,000, half bag of rice & life chicken
18 Ikoyi-Obalende #N30,000 to staff, N25,000 to non pensionable & 10kg of rice for everyone
19 Ejigbo LCDA N40,000 with 4 staff per bag of rice. Non pensionable N30,000 with 8 per bag of rice.
20 Ayobo Ipaja N25,000 with rice
21 Coker Aguda N30,000
22 Ifako Ijaiye LG N40,000, 20kg of Rice & 3lt Oil

  1. Ijede LCDA N25,000
    24 Odi Olowo N50,000
    Agboyi Ketu N30,000
    Oshodi N30,000
    Apapa-Iganmu N35,000 plus half bag of rice for each staff
