The world football governing body, FIFA on Friday, 23 January, 2026, announced  the offer of  record breaking $2.3 million, the largest single payout ever in women’s club football  for  inaugural FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, reports thegazellenews.com.

The prize structure reflects FIFA’s commitment to accelerating investment and excellence in women’s club football globally.

It also follows a broader FIFA strategy of supporting women’s clubs, including $11.3 million paid out to 1,041 clubs worldwide through the FIFA Club Benefits Programme after the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.

With these historic payouts, the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup 2026 is already redefining women’s club football and establishing itself as one of the premier competitions in the global game.

FIFA, which announced the this on its official handle on Friday, 23 January, 2026, also disclosed that the runners-up will receive $1 million for reaching the final, scheduled at Arsenal Stadium on Sunday, 1 February, 2026.

According  to the body, semi-finalists will each earn $200,000, while the two clubs eliminated in the opening rounds: Auckland United FC, New Zealand; and Wuhan Chegu Jiangda WFC, China PR; will receive $100,000 each.

In total, nearly $4 million will be distributed among the six participating clubs.

FIFA Secretary General, Mattias Grafström, speaking on the announcement, said, “A total payout of close to USD 4 million distributed among the six participants based on their performance is a clear statement of the belief in women’s club football and the players, teams and competitions driving its continued rise.

“It reflects the global growth of the women’s game and FIFA’s commitment to making targeted, meaningful investments that strengthen women’s club football for the long term. Our focus is clear: to continue investing in, growing, and elevating women’s club football at every level – ensuring that opportunity, visibility, and value keep pace with the exceptional performances seen on the pitch”.
