Touched by the plight of the victims of the fire outbreak in Warji Local Government Area of Bauchi state, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly (BAHA), Rt Hon, Abubakar Y. Suleiman has donated relief materials worth N3,249,000.00 to cushion the effects of the valuable properties lost in the fire.
Presenting the relief materials to the affected individuals on behalf of the lawmaker, the Special Adviser to the Speaker, Isa Haruna Tiffi, on Tuesday, 23 September 2025, said the gesture showcases Hon Abubakar’s empathy for the people, including those outside his Ningi Constituency, for the masses to enjoy a serenading shade.
He said after careful studying the situation and what the victims of the unfortunate incident need, the Speaker decided to donate the food items the materials, to cushion the effects of the valuable properties lost in the fire.
Isa Haruna Tiffi noted that, this effort, demonstrated the Speaker’s commitment to the welfare of the people and his generosity to people of different faiths and tribes.
The beneficiaries of the relief materials and victims of the fire incident expressed gratitude for the gesture, noting that, the items arrived at a critical time when they were needed the most.
They prayed to Allah to uplift the status of the Bauchi State Speaker while making his future aspiration a success.
The items donated include 30 bags of rice, 30 cartons of spaghetti, 10 gallons of cooking oil and 10 bags of sugar, 30 pieces of mats, 60 thick blankets as well as 70 sets of children’s clothes, among others.
