The First Lady of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu has described the Late Afenifere leader, Chief Ayo Adebanjo as a key political leader in the country, reports thegazellenews.com
She stated this when she paid a condolence visit to his Lekki, Lagos residence.

She expressed satisfaction that she was able to see the late elder statesman shortly before passed on. While praying for the repose of his soul and that God keep his widow and family, the First Lady emphasized that despite different political affiliation, Late Chief Ayo Abebanjo was still a well respected elder Statesman in Nigeria.

In his remarks, son of the late Afenifere leader, Femi, thanked the First Lady acknowledging that the visit was heart warming.
The First Lady privately met with the widow, Chief Mrs Christiana Anoko Ayo Adebanjo also at the residence.
Late Chief Ayo Adebanjo died on Friday, 14 February, 2025 at the age of 96 years.
