The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON has urged the newly sworn-in Senator for Lagos Central Senatorial District, Wasiu Eshilokun-Sanni to make people’s welfare his priority as he began his tenure in the highest law-making body in the country.

“The people of Lagos Central Senatorial District, one of whom my humble self is, have the confidence in your ability to deliver, hence our support for you throughout the electioneering period: the primaries, the campaign and the election proper, culminating in our giving you our mandate. We believe in you and we know and pray that you won’t disappoint,” the First Lady said.

Also speaking at the event, the former National Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Babatunde Ogala, SAN, while congratulating the new Senator, urged him to keep the flag flying, noting that he has always been an active performer in legislative activities all through his years in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Responding, Senator Eshilokun-Sanni assured that he will not relent in supporting and promoting bills and motions that will enhance the quality of life of his people.

Acknowledging the challenges of his new assignment, he assured that by the grace of God, he is up to the task and will put up his best to meet the people’s expectation.

“My predecessor and First Lady of Nigeria, our respected Senator Oluremi Tinubu has set a very high standard in legislative activities at the Red Chamber. She has set a high standard in making feel the impact of productive legislation.
