With Pastor Gbenga Oyebode, the people of Itire Ikate Local Council Development Area of Lagos State are in for robust, people-oriented governance.
His track records both in the private and public sectors have shown that he is indeed, a man who is imbued with innate ability to lead and deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.
Pastor Oyebode has served the people of Itire Ikate in various capacities and in all, he has never been found wanting.
He has always delivered on every assignment given to him and for many who knows and relates with him, Oyebode is passionate about the development and growth of his council area in particular and Lagos State and Nigeria in general.
Oyebode was born on 18 September 1967.
He attended St Paul’s Primary School, Gbongan; Oduduwa College, Ile Ife; and the University of Lagos.
He is a Fellow of Institute of Security of Nigeria, a Fellow of Institute of Criminal Justice and Criminal Administration, a Fellow of Nigeria Institute of Management, a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Management Accounting and a Fellow Chartered Institute of Commerce of Nigeria.
He has also attended so many Courses in United Kingdom and United States of America, some of which are Public Administration in Cardiff University, United Kingdom, Action Counter Terrorism Awareness ACT. United Kingdom.
As a public servant, he has been a former Chief of Staff, Special Adviser, Secretary to the Local Government (SLG.) in Itire Ikate LCDA. He was the immediate past Vice Chairman of Itire Ikate LCDA, Surulere and Chairman of all Vice Chairmen in Lagos State.
Presently, he is the Senatorial District Officer to Senator Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni who represents Lagos Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
He has also been very active in the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He was the Collation Officer for the party in Surulere Local Government at the last during the 2023 general elections, and to his credit, APC won comprehensively.
He is a member of the party’s State Directorate of Admin and Personnel, Director in the Independent Campaign Council (Tinubu/Shettima and Sanwoolu/Hamzat). He was the one assigned by the party to verify and train Polling Unit Committee and Party Agents at Apapa, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos Island and Agege Local Governments. He was also a member of the Lagos Central Mobilisation Committee, member of Surulere 2 JointTask Force and Deputy Director General for Senator Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni Campaign Organisation.
A devoted Christian, Pastor Oyebode is an Assistant Pastor in Charge of Province (APICP) in Charge of CSR of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Regional President of Redeemers’ Men’s Fellowship and National Secretary of the Security Department. A former Director of Inter-governmental Affairs, Lagos State Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and a Patron of Christian Association of Nigeria and PFN.
He is a successful business man, being the Chief Executive Officer of BENGABOD NIGERIA LIMITED with interest in security, properties, printing, event management and construction. He also a member of the Board of Trustee of Helpgate Foundation.
He also a writer, speaker, trainer, teacher, counselor and mentor to many youths and young couples.
He happily married to Pastor (Mrs) Idowu Oyebode JP and the union is and blessed with three children and a granddaughter.
