Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has received the Managing Director of Ashaka Cement Plc, Ibrahim Aminu, who briefed him on the company’s expansion project and its transition to HBM Nigeria Plc. They also discussed Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and tax-related matters.

During the meeting at the Government House on Tuesday, Governor Inuwa Yahaya acknowledged Ashaka Cement’s contributions to the socio-economic development of Gombe State, describing the company as a vital partner in the state’s industrialization drive and economic transformation.

The Governor however charged the company’s management to deepen its Corporate Social Responsibility interventions and create more employment opportunities for Gombe indigenes, particularly those from the host community, in line with its expansion programme.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to sustaining investor-friendly policies and maintaining a conducive business environment that supports industrial growth and attracts further investment.

The Managing Director, Ibrahim Aminu, expressed appreciation to Governor Inuwa Yahaya for the cordial relationship between the state government and the company, noting that the present administration’s business-friendly policies have continued to strengthen Ashaka Cement’s operations and position it for future growth.

The delegation, which included the Head of Corporate Affairs, Mohammed Aminu, was received by the Governor in the company of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Zubair Muhammad Umar.
