Deputy Governor of Lagos State and APC Governorship Candidate for the 2027 election, Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, has engaged the leadership of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, reaffirming his commitment to consultative governance ahead of the polls.
The engagement, disclosed in a statement by the E-KOH Initiative, held at the society’s National Headquarters in Surulere, Lagos, where Hamzat met with the National President of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society, Prince Mosediq Adeniji Kazeem, SAN.
According to the statement, the meeting formed part of Hamzat’s continuing consultations with community, religious and institutional leaders on issues concerning the development and future direction of Lagos State.
Speaking on the importance of the engagement, Hamzat emphasised that sustainable progress requires dialogue, consultation and collective responsibility, noting that seeking the counsel of community leaders provides an important opportunity to better understand the realities, aspirations and expectations of the people.
The discussions, the statement explained, centred on a shared vision for a greater Lagos and the need to continue identifying practical solutions to the challenges confronting residents and communities across the state.
Hamzat further reaffirmed his openness to advice and perspectives grounded in the lived experiences of Lagosians, stressing that the contributions of community and institutional leaders remain valuable to the process of building a Lagos that works for everyone.
The E-KOH Initiative said it recognised the importance of constructive engagement with established institutions and community leadership in strengthening dialogue around governance, development and the collective aspirations of Lagos State, commending the spirit of consultation demonstrated through the engagement.
The Initiative reiterated its commitment to promoting constructive conversations around the future of Lagos.
