Ahead of 2027 general elections, the PBAT Door-to-door Movement  on Tuesday, 13 October, 2026 hosted its massive Lagos State rally  for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State Dr. Kadri Hamzat and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in  the state at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena , formerly Onikan Stadium, reports thegazellenews.com.

The high-profile event officially launched the grassroots 2027 mobilization drive, centered around the distribution and presentation of branded campaign vehicles and materials.

Organized under the banner of the PBAT Door-to-door Movement, heavily backed by High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo)—the initiative is designed to take the APC election machinery directly to wards, households, and communities across the state.

Dignitaries presents at the ceremony included: Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; the state Chairman of the party, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi; the Senator representing Lagos Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Wasiu Eshilokun-Sanni; Senator Gbenga Ashafa, the Director General of PBAT Door-to-door Movement in Nigeria, Sunday Asukonbi; APC National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel; local leaders, grassroots stakeholders, representatives of ethnic nationalities in the state, among others.

Speaking at the event, Governor Sanwo -Olu charged party members, residents of the state to come out in large numbers and cast their votes for President Tinubu, Hamzat, and other candidates of the ruling party in 2027 general elections.

The Governor, who also called on party members, residents of the state to go out to their various wards and collect their PVCs which will give them the legal right to vote.

“This is to express my appreciations to Lagosians who showed up today for the door-to door campaign for President Tinubu, our hardworking leader, Hamzat and our party candidates for the coming general elections. I am appealing to you to go out in your large numbers to campaign for President Tinubu, Hamzat and other candidates of our great party, APC.

“I want you all to show all the love you have for our party. I want you to deliver Tsunami votes for President Tinubu, Hamzat and all our candidates we fielded for the elections. I am charging you to go from house to house, village to village, hamlet to hamlet, local government to local government to campaign door-to door to get people to come out and vote massively for our great party in the 2027 polls.

“Tinubu has done great things for Lagos and entire Nigeria as nobody has ever done in Nigerian political history.  He has performed excellently well in road constructions being witnessed across all regions of the country. He has put in place economic reforms which are now yielding  positive results. In the area of health and education, he has done well too. Our children are now beneficiaries of NELFUND, courtesy of our hardworking president. In other sectors, he has performed very well, and based on this, we need we need to vote for him for the second term.

And how do you this?

“You need PVC to vote for during the polls. PVC is now out for collection, and I am using this medium to call on you to go out to your different wards to collect it,” Sanwo-Olu said.

The event was not about political talk, it was also about entertainment as popular musicians were on stage to entertain the gathering as popular street-pop artist, Portable made a major appearance, arriving live at the stadium to perform and amplify the energy of the crowd. Famous fuji star, Alhaji Sulaimon Alao, popular called Malaika, was also on stage to render sonorous songs to the listening audience. Hector, an Afro Beats musician was also on stage to perform.

The event came to an end with presentation of the campaign vehicles to the coordinators of the Movement in all the 20 local governments and 37 local council development areas of the state.

This, according to the organisers, marked a fully coordinated, early structural kickoff for the south west mobilization efforts toward the next general elections

The campaign materials and vehicles presented at Onikan Stadium were dedicated to supporting President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, the Lagos APC gubernatorial candidate,  Hamzat, and his running mate, Princess Damilola Sonayon James and other party candidates.
