A delegate to the just concluded National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has tragically lost his life in an elevator that took place in the hotel he was lodged, thegazellenews.com can exclusively report.
According to a source close to the family of the deceased, the incident occurred on the morning of Saturday, 28 March, 2026, a few hours after the conclusion of the convention.
Thegazellenews.com learnt that the delegate was in the elevator when a mechanical fault led to its falling through and smashing the body on the ground floor.
The delegate, from one of the northern states of the country died immediately, thegazellenews.com learnt.
It was gathered that the hotel was located in the Utako area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The case was reported at one of the police stations in Utako.
Thegazellenews.com learnt further that the family of the deceased has declined taking legal action against the hotel.
