Khamis Musa Darazo, a staunch supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has expressed forgiveness towards opposition members who spread false news about the President’s death.

Speaking on Wednesday, 13 August, 2025, Darazo said he was deeply hurt and unsettled last night after rumours circulated, claiming that President Tinubu had passed away.

“My heart was wounded last night, and I was thrown into confusion over the rumours that spread. But we have forgiven the angry opposition members who spread this baseless story,” he said.

Darazo stressed his unwavering support for the president, adding, “We will continue to stand behind President Tinubu until 2031, In Sha Allah.”

The false news, which made rounds on social media late Tuesday, sparked outrage among Tinubu’s supporters, many of whom dismissed it as politically motivated propaganda.
