Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has jokingly declared that she too deserves to “partake” in the money being spent on cars, chains and private jets within the entertainment industry, questioning why such extravagant spending persists despite her more than a decade in the music business.
Savage made the remark in a video shared on her Instagram page, where she was seen eating cereal while addressing the subject of lavish spending among entertainers.
“I must also partake in this money you people are spending on cars, chains, planes because the devil is what…” she said in the clip.
Reacting to the post, a user identified as bankulli responded with laughing and heart emojis, prompting a further comment from the singer, who questioned where such wealth was being shared, given her years in the industry without a similar level of extravagance.
“Is true o my Oga, please where are they sharing this money because wetin happen na, I don dey sing this afrobeat for over a decade now o,” she wrote in response.
The exchange, which has since generated reactions online, comes amid recurring conversations within Nigeria’s entertainment industry about wealth display and spending habits among artistes and public figures.
