The Onisabe of Igbobi-Sabe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Owolabi Adeniyi on Monday, 16 March, 2026, played host to the Commander of the 9th Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Olufemi Owolabi, reports thegazellenews.com
The Monarch expressed appreciation to Brigadier General Owolabi for the visit noting that it will engender robust cordial relationship between the palace and the 9th Brigade.
Oba Adeniyi also expressed the desire of the palace in collaborating with the Brigade in the area of security improvement.
“We are happy that you are here. I appreciate this visit and I want to implore you to assist us in the area of security,” the Monarch said.
He acknowledged that though his domain has enjoyed relative peace since his ascendancy, the need to be vigilant and maintain peace makes it imperative for more security patrols.
Brigadier-General Owolabi assured the Monarch that the Brigade would not relent in maintaining peace not only in Igbobi-Sabe but the entire state.
“I’m happy to be with you. I am assuring you that we will do everything possible to sure that security is not breached and the peace of the state is maintained,” he said.
Brigadier-General Owolabi however called on parents and guardians to be vigilant and ensure that their wards are kept in check.
“Parents should monitor their children. They should supervise the friends they move with so that they don’t engage in crimes.
He assured the Monarch the brigade will assist with regular patrol of the area.
The visit was concluded with the exchange of gifts between the Monarch and the Brigadier-General.
Joining Oba Adeniyi to host the 9th Brigade entourage are: the Queen of Igbobi-Sabe Kingdom, Queen Mosunmola Adeniyi and Baales from various communities in the area.
The Public Relations Officer of the 9th Brigade, Major Akinola Ajibola was part of the Brigadier-General’s entourage.
