The revered traditional ruler also congratulated the President on his landmark achievements in the last two years.

Oba Adeniyi stated this on Friday 13 June, 2025 during a media briefing on the state of the nation which took place at his palace in Jibowu, Fadeyi Lagos State
He urged Tinubu to accord more priority to insecurity in most parts of the country so that farmers in the affected states can go to their farms to farm to solve the issue of food shortage and hunger in the land.

“I want to urge the Federal Government to tackle issue of insecurity across the country, so that famers, especially can have access to their farms,” the Igbobi monarch said.

The revered monarch also said the power tussle among the traditional rulers in the southwest is unnecessary, noting that issues among them should be settled amicably so as not to bring traditional institution to disrepute.
“We should refrain from actions and utterances that can bring the traditional institution into disrepute, that’s why it’s important for issues among traditional rulers should be settled amicably,” he said.
Oba Adeniyi, who renew call for a specific constitutional roles for the traditional rulers in the country, also appealed to all residents of Lagos State to exercise caution against any act that could jeopardise the smooth conduct of the forthcoming Local Government Elections in the state.
