The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has officially commissioned the newly established Nigeria Police Intelligence School in Share, Kwara State.

The commissioning ceremony, held on Thursday, saw the IGP accompanied by top-ranking police officers, including DIG Benjamin Nebeolisa Okolo, in charge of the Force Intelligence Department; DIG Adebola Ayinde Hamzat, fdc, of the Department of Logistics and Supply; and CP Ojo Adekimi, the Commissioner of Police for Kwara State.
Representing the Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, CON, the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs, and Community Development, Hon. Abubakar Abdullahi Bata, commended the IGP’s vision.
He lauded the project as a significant addition to the state’s infrastructure and a strong indicator of the IGP’s commitment to combating crime through improved intelligence capacity.
Designed as a modern training center, the Nigeria Police Intelligence School will offer comprehensive programs in intelligence analysis, cybercrime investigations, forensic science, and counter-terrorism, among other areas.
Open to members of other security and intelligence agencies, the school aims to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and enhance Nigeria’s internal security framework. The IGP assured the host community that the institution would commence full-scale operations immediately.
