The Chairman of Imota Local Council Development Area, Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, on Wednesday, 4 March, 2026, received the Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Ikorodu Division, Comrade Japheth Odesanya, and his team during a familiarization visit aimed at strengthening political collaboration and grassroots mobilization.
The strategic meeting, held at the Imota LCDA Council Secretariat, focused on fostering unity, encouraging inclusive participation, and consolidating support for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the Renewed Hope Agenda. The engagement brought together key political stakeholders committed to advancing progressive governance across Ikorodu Division.


In his remarks, Hon. Benson reiterated the shared vision of development and prosperity championed by President Tinubu’s administration. He noted that policies introduced by the Federal Government are gradually translating into tangible benefits at the grassroots, adding that sustained collaboration between political leaders and community groups remains essential to deepening democratic dividends.
The Imota LCDA Chairman described the Renewed Hope Ambassadors as strategic partners in projecting the achievements of the current administration.
According to him, sustainable progress can only be achieved when leaders and citizens work collectively towards common goals that prioritize community welfare and long-term development.

Emphasizing the importance of unity and inclusiveness, Hon. Benson identified grassroots engagement as a core pillar of his administration in Imota LCDA. He noted that effective communication, youth participation, and community-driven initiatives are essential to sustaining development momentum within the Ikorodu Division.
In his response, Comrade Japheth Odesanya expressed appreciation for the Chairman’s open-door policy and unwavering commitment to people-oriented initiatives. He explained that the visit formed part of his ongoing divisional tour to engage political stakeholders and mobilize grassroots support for the Renewed Hope movement.
Comrade Odesanya further underscored the need for synergy, teamwork, and broad-based participation to guarantee a successful campaign. He advocated sustained engagement with community-based organizations, emphasizing voter education, inclusiveness, and structured grassroots sensitization as key strategies for effective mobilization.

The meeting ended with both parties reaffirming their commitment to stronger collaboration and continuous engagement with residents of Imota LCDA and the wider Ikorodu Division, as they work collectively to strengthen political alliances and mobilize support ahead of forthcoming electoral activities.
