In celebration of the annual Women’s Day, Team Jandor, a Lagos based political group has counted its gains towards ensuring that women are given a special place in the society.

This year’s theme of the annual women’s day is tagged: Each for Equal.

In a release signed by the Central Coordinator of the Group, Mrs. Funke Oguntuga and made available to journalists in Lagos, she appreciated the lead visioner of Team Jandor, Mr. Abdulazeez Olajide Adediran, for placing the women in strategic positions and initiating various empowerment schemes to improve the standard of living of the  women and their children across the state.

Oguntuga recalled many programmes by team Jandor going on simultaneously across 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas, which includes: “Jandor food bank, Stipends for the aged and widows, poverty alleviation programmes, scholarships for tertiary institution students, sponsorship of pilgrimages to Jerusalem and Mecca” among others.

Speaking further, Mrs. Funke Oguntuga urged the women to remain focused and dedicated, assuring them of “more programmes that will better the lives of both the women and their children.

“Team Jandor is each for equal because an equal world is an enabled world”.
