In an unprecedented feat in Nigeria islamic music industry, rising female Islamic singer, Hajia Mariam Alaka-Adeola popularly known as Nurul Nabiy (Light of The Prophet) is set to launch her two in one album on Friday, 23 May, 2025 at Yoruba Tennis Club, Onikan, Lagos state.
According to the Islamic singer, the title of the double album is “Dynamic Music (Volume 1&2)”. The guest lecturer of the occasion is Sheikh Abdulkabeer Algamawy while popular Fuji star, Alhaji Suleiman Alao Adekunle popularly known as Malaika would be the guest artist.
Speaking with journalists on the feat, Hajia Mariam who started her career over 27 years ago and has released albums such as ‘Sweet Mother’, ‘Oore Odun’, ‘Zikiri’ and ‘Tribute’ said, “I am about to break and set a new record in Islamic music industry in Nigeria. Since its inception, no Islamic singer has ever produced a double album and this would be the first time in history.
“I’m very sure the album would make waves and resonates well with people because I gave my all after series of research and hardwork. Also, I brought an entire new dynamism to Islamic music in the album and my fans and Muslims should be eager for it.”
Aside Malaika, a host of Islamic artistes and prominent Nigerians, especially from Lagos Island axis where Hajia Mariam was born and bred would be present.
